Srinagar, June 22: A residential house was damaged in a fire incident in Hamdania colony Bemina area of Srinagar this evening.
An F&ES official told Asian News Hub that fire broke out in a single-storey residential house with an ECI sheet roof due to a leakage in an LPG gas cylinder.
He said the blaze, which spread quickly, caused significant damage to the ceiling, doors, and windows. Several kitchenware items were also partly damaged in the incident.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and the fire was brought under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, he said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the gas leak and have urged residents to ensure the safety of their gas appliances.
